It's time to work with our hormones rather than against them
In the majority of women with thyroid issues, especially where perimenopausal or post menopause, thyroid issues are symptomatic of a wider hormone problem.
Hormones get disregulated for lots of reasons – stress; toxic load from the chemicals in our life; hormonal change, which, whilst natural doesn’t always go to plan.
By resetting the hormone stack, we can regulate the system and reset from the top down, starting with Oxytocin, and working through Cortisol, which has a direct effect on the Thyroid. Estrogen, Progesterone and other sex hormones benefit too.
This means that the body benefits holistically, everything improves, and as part of that improvement, many thyroid problems lessen or go away completely.
All this is achieved naturally, working with the body and women’s natural hormone cycle. No drugs, no potions, pills or other costly supplements, just by eating natural, nourishing food, in hearty portions, and by fasting.
For such a complex problem, the solution is simple. (If someone had said that to me a year ago, I’d have laughed!)

Why Cycle Alignment Is Important
The female body is complex – it’s much more complex than a male body, whatever the medical establishment would have us believe, but despite this, most diet and exercise regimes, and all fasting programmes, have been based on men.
Whilst that’s great for men, it does nothing for women, missing out a whole slew of considerations which lead to poor advice, poor results and women being (incorrectly) told that fasting could be detrimental or even dangerous.
If you’ve ever wondered why you and your male partner or friends could follow the same diet and whilst they get great results you get none, this is why.
Let me give you a simple example: every plan I tried before I found this way of living ignored the basic fact that before my period, the scales will show I’ve gained a few pounds. This isn’t failing: it’s natural.
Similarly, there’s times in the month when it’s great to lift heavy weights or go for a long run, and other times when some light yoga and rest will serve me better.
By syncing the plan with our monthly cycles, we can give our bodies the support they need, in the right ratios, so that hormones can thrive and balance can be restored. We’ll also feel better.
That’s a game-changer.
